Michiel
Michiel van Bokhorst studied communication at Utrecht University. He was trained as a copywriter but even as a student he did a lot of music writing and producing on the side. There were no top 10-hits, but he did co-write a lot of iconic Dutch television tunes in the 90’s. Because of his childhood in the Antilles the islands kept calling, and in 2004 he moved back to Bonaire.
Michiel is a dive fanatic and a PADI certified dive instructor, he will read anything on Bonaire’s history, and he often roams the island with a metal detector.
Esther
Esther van Bokhorst-Beentjes studied at the Utrecht Teachers Academy and spent twelve years in front of middle school classes. When she came to Bonaire she taught for one more year, but after Lamedia Bonaire had been established she proved to be a valuable asset to the company. Coming up with concepts, writing scripts, directing, editing, Esther has it all down. She is also a talented graphic designer, specialized in logos and book cover design.
